Abstract:
Updated throughout for 2019, this well-received comprehensive course on breast ultrasound, with an emphasis on a new classification system on breast cancer, “non”-mass ultrasound findings, a look at causes of false negative BI-RADS 3 classifications, and new ways of classifying breast nodules that can help objectively assign BI-RADS 4 subcategories and improve ultrasound’s ability to serve as a biomarker. In addition to faculty panel discussions with audience participation, there will be numerous case presentations and time set aside for questions and answers. Target Audience: Radiologists and radiology residents/ fellows, breast surgeons, sonographers, radiology technologists and advanced practitioners who desire to learn, in depth, how to use breast ultrasound in a clinical practice setting for diagnosis, screening and staging of breast disease.

Abstract:
This program will focus on practical imaging issues to improve image interpretation across a wide range of common and uncommon clinical scenarios. Novel and cutting-edge imaging ‘protocols’ will be discussed highlighting potential ‘pitfalls.’ Selected topics in neuroradiology, abdominal, breast, thoracic, musculoskeletal and pediatric radiology will be covered. There will be daily case conferences emphasizing ‘misses and misinterpretations’ with an opportunity to earn 20 SAM credits (80% of the ABR requirement for three years).
