Updated throughout for 2019, this well-received comprehensive course on breast ultrasound, with an emphasis on a new classification system on breast cancer, “non”-mass ultrasound findings, a look at causes of false negative BI-RADS 3 classifications, and new ways of classifying breast nodules that can help objectively assign BI-RADS 4 subcategories and improve ultrasound’s ability to serve as a biomarker. In addition to faculty panel discussions with audience participation, there will be numerous case presentations and time set aside for questions and answers. We will cover first and second trimester congenital anomalies, including a special lecture on how a surgeon treats cleft lip and palate. You’ll also learn the basics in assessing pregnancies at risk for placenta accreta spectrum since it is now 1:300 pregnancies. The increasing incidence of ectopic pregnancy and the unusual presentation of various types of ectopic will be presented. Gynecological ultrasound will include ultrasound of endometrium, pelvic pain and adnexa.
