LIAM Project Strasbourg, France, 30 March – 1 April 2016

Thank you to all contributors and participants !

This symposium considered to what extent and in what ways scientific evidence can inform the development of policy and practice designed to support the linguistic integration of adult migrants.

It brought together researchers from various disciplines – education, didactics, psychology, applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, etc. – as a first step towards developing an interdisciplinary inventory of research findings that relevant ministries in Council of Europe member states can use to inform their decisions concerning the linguistic integration of adult migrants.

The symposium was organised by the Language Policy Unit at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, from 30 March - 1 April 2016 (13:00).

Presenters were invited to contribute to a publication subsequently produced jointly by the Council of Europe and De Gruyter Mouton (Berlin). The deadline for submissions is now over.
