SDM20 — SIAM International Conference on Data Mining
07 mai 2020 - 09 mai 2020 • Cincinnati, Ohio, États-Unis
Résumé:
Data mining is the computational process for discovering valuable knowledge from data - the core of modern Data Science. It has enormous applications in numerous fields, including science, engineering, healthcare, business, and medicine. Typical datasets in these fields are large, complex, and often noisy. Extracting knowledge from these datasets requires the use of sophisticated, high-performance, and principled analysis techniques and algorithms. These techniques in turn require implementations on high performance computational infrastructure that are carefully tuned for performance. Powerful visualization technologies along with effective user interfaces are also essential to make data mining tools appealing to researchers, analysts, data scientists and application developers from different disciplines, as well as usable by stakeholders.

EDM 2020 — 13th International Conference on Educational Data Mining
10 jul 2020 - 13 jul 2020 • Ifrane, Maroc
Résumé:
Educational Data Mining is a leading international forum for high-quality research that mines datasets to answer educational research questions, including exploring how people learn and how they teach. These data may originate from a variety of learning contexts, including learning and information management systems, interactive learning environments, intelligent tutoring systems, educational games, and data-rich learning activities. Educational data mining considers a wide variety of types of data, including but not limited to raw log files, student-produced artifacts, discourse, and multimodal streams such as eye-tracking and other sensor data. The overarching goal of the Educational Data Mining research community is to support learners and teachers more effectively, by developing data-driven understandings of the learning and teaching processes in a wide variety of contexts and for diverse learners.

SBSE 2020 — 12th Symposium on Search-Based Software Engineering
07 oct 2020 - 08 oct 2020 • Bari, Italie
Résumé:
Search-based Software Engineering (SBSE) is a research area focused on the formulation of software engineering problems as search problems, and the subsequent use of complex heuristic techniques to attain optimal solutions to such problems. A wealth of engineering challenges – from test generation, to design refactoring, to process organization – can be solved efficiently through the application of automated optimization techniques. SBSE is a growing field – sitting at the crossroads between AI, machine learning, and software engineering – and SBSE techniques have begun to attain human-competitive results. The Symposium on Search-Based Software Engineering is a venue dedicated to the SBSE research field. The 12th symposium will be held this year in Bari, Italy, co-located with the Empirical Software Engineering International Week (ESEIW 2020).
