| abstract: Istanbul Kültür University commemorates the life and work of Prof. Dr. Nazım Terzioglu by an international symposium on Analysis and Theory of Functions on August 24-26, 2009. Being one of the first-generation mathematicians in the young Turkish Republic, N. Terzioglu’s contributions to providing stimuli to research in Turkey are exceptional and have penetrated almost every stratum of Turkish society in basic sciences. Faculty and stuff of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science are organizing this memorial symposium to remember N. Terzioglu’s lifetime contributions to science in his genuine subject. The symposium will focus on research related to Complex Analysis in One and Several Variables, Theory of Functions, Geometric and Univalent Function Theory and Functional Analysis and Operator Theory, and aims to feature the most recent research done in these areas. Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of Istanbul Kültür University cordially invites the scientific community to join them at Nazım Terzioglu Memorial Symposium in celebrating the life and work of a committed and inspiring scientist. |
