Abstract:
Dear Colleagues, On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to participate in the VIII. International Symposium on Ecology and Environmental Problems (ISEEP), organized by the Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Faculty of Sciences and Arts, Department of Biology. The conference will be held in Canakkale, Turkey, on 4 – 7 October 2017. It is expected that the Symposium will create an exceptional scientific platform where various ecological problems will be discussed, and possible solutions will be proposed. By this occasion, scientists both from Turkey and abroad are planning to share the results and opinions derived from their studies on various aspects of environmental problems. Looking forward to seeing you in Canakkale in 2017.

International Symposium on Pufferfish

Abstract:
Hundereds of new alien species have been encountered in the coastal environments of the Mediterranean Sea in recent decades, including the poisonous pufferfish. The invasion of pufferfish species has caused huge damage to the marine ecosystem in the Mediterranean, while there is a lack of basic knowledge of monitoring methodology, specific life characteristics of pufferfish species and risk assessments. Therefore this workshop aims to get together scientist, fishermen, policy makers and other stakeholders to utilize effect of pufferfish species in the Mediterranean Sea. The Symposium will focus on anything matter concerning pufferfish (Tetraodontidae) species.
