Abstract	Biointerface science is, by definition, highly interdisciplinary and this GRS meeting will bring together an international group of scientists who work at the cutting edge of multiple fields of specialization. There will be opportunities to present formally in oral and poster sessions and to engage in vibrant open discussion in an environment specifically tailored to foster links between researchers of diverse skillsets. The scientific sessions will focus on advances in research and the development of applications in synthetic surfaces, biolubrication, biofilms, surface-adhesion, membrane-associated systems and at bio-organic and bio-inorganic interfaces.
