abstract: This congress brings together scientists, development partners, and policy makers from the developing world, particularly sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and Asia-Pacific countries, with those from the United States, Europe, and other regions. While it is primarily organized with the involvement of network scientists working in the area of veterinary public health and livestock biotechnology, the congress is open to all interested in the thematic areas. This is a unique opportunity for scientists, graduate and professional students, and other stakeholders to exchange up-to-date information on the various key aspects of zoonotic pathogens and to raise awareness of the issues to society. This unique comprehensive congress will be held in Ethiopia and, as such, will be unique to the sub-Saharan region.
