HDL Satellite meetings are an established feature of the triennial ISA meetings and regularly attract many of the leading researchers in the field.

The objective of this HDL satellite symposium is to provide a forum for presentation and discussion of state-of-the-art knowledge of the biology and biochemistry of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and of recent developments in therapeutics directed to modifications of HDL metabolism and function. The program will reflect the many recent exciting developments in this field and will include invited presentations by many leading researchers in the field. Additional oral presentations will be selected from submitted abstracts and poster sessions will also form an integral part of the scientific program.

Our key note speaker, Professor Peter Passmore, Professor of Ageing and Geriatric Medicine at Queen’s University Belfast, and a leading international researcher in Alzheimer’s Disease and Vascular Dementia, will update us on the interface between vascular risk factors, Mild Cognitive Impairment and Dementia.

Experts from NSW and interstate will speak on Dementia prevention, early symptoms and diagnosis, current and emerging treatments, through to managing advanced disease.

With the prevalence of Dementia rising each year, our conference aims to foster impeccable Dementia care and management for the future.
