Zusammenfassung: Drug discovery is an expensive and challenging process. In silico methods have played a key role in aiding the discovery process, in pharmaceutical companies and government institutes alike. Government initiatives (Molecular Library Initiative and Chemical Genetics Initiative) have lead to an increase in the amount of available public data in the form of chemical compounds, and experiments analyzing the interaction of compounds with proteins/genes i.e., biological spaces. www.cs.gmu.edu/~hrangwal/rxdm

Zusammenfassung: BCBGC brings together both academic and industrial scientists and developers from a diverse range of disciplines including bioinformatics, computer science, computational biology, genomics, proteomics and chemoinformatics. One of the main goals of the conference is to promote the dissemination of research to a multidisciplinary audience and to facilitate communication among researchers in different fields. Papers that demonstrate applications of existing techniques or developments of new methods are equally welcomed to the conference. The conference will be held at the same time and location where some other major events will be taking place.

Zusammenfassung: The healthcare industry is constantly changing to incorporate new advances in science and to address new needs within society. Recent developments in communication technology have greatly facilitated the exchange of information and expertise. Telehealth is an emerging field in which health services are transmitted over a long distance using technologies such as videoconferencing, the Internet, store-and-forward imaging, streaming media, satellites, and wireless communications. Telehealth promises to impact the ways that clinical healthcare, health-related education, public health, and health administration are approached.
