Zusammenfassung: The theme of MFI 2010 is “Cognitive Sensor Fusion.” A major goal of multisensor fusion systems is to achieve human-like performance in terms of perception, knowledge extraction, and situation assessment, exploiting symbolic and/or dynamical systems approaches.

Original high-quality contributions are solicited which demonstrate progress on fundamental principles, algorithm, systems, or applications.

Innovative results on multisensor fusion topics are invited such as distributed methods, sensor/actuator networks, bio-based systems, evolutionary methods, biomedical applications, autonomous vehicles (land, sea, air), architectures, micro/nano systems, tracking, SLAM, information fusion, sensors, swarms.

Zusammenfassung: Understanding the mechanisms allowing brains to collect sensory input and control adaptive behaviour represents one of the most challenging endeavours in science. The goal of this symposium is to review progress towards an integrated understanding of the genetic, molecular, and neuronal basis of behaviour in the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster. We will examine how our knowledge about biological neural processes can influence (and be influenced by) the design of robotic neural systems. Our aim is to bring together researchers from the Drosophila and insect community with experts in computational neurobiology and robotics. We will promote discussion on how to quantitatively describe working hypotheses about brain functions and behavioural control, and how bio-inspired robots may be used to test the validity and limits of our current models.

Zusammenfassung: These two workshops will address two topics important for efficiently obtaining and utilizing the information inherent in complex real-world data, namely Actions/Reactions and System Integration. Workshop III on Actions/Reactions will begin on Monday, October 18 in the morning and continue until lunch on Wednesday, October 20. Workshop IV on System Integration commences after lunch on Wednesday, October 20, and continues through Friday, October 22. Those wishing to participate in one or both workshops must apply and be accepted. There will be a combined reception on Tuesday evening. You must apply and be accepted in order to attend the workshop. We urge you to apply as early as possible. Applications received by August 23, 2010, will receive fullest consideration. The Office of Naval Research is supporting this workshop.

Zusammenfassung: The purpose of IJCCI is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners on the areas of Fuzzy Computation, Evolutionary Computation and Neural Computation.

IJCCI is composed of three co-located conferences, each specialized in at least one of the aforementioned main knowledge areas.

Zusammenfassung: Neural computation and artificial neural networks have seen an explosion of interest over the last few years, and are being successfully applied across an extraordinary range of problem domains, in areas as diverse as finance, medicine, engineering, geology and physics, in problems of prediction, classification or control. Several architectures, learning strategies and algorithms have been introduced in this highly dynamic field in the last couple of decades. This conference intends to be a major forum for scientists, engineers and practitioners interested in the study, analysis, design, modeling and implementation of neural computing systems, both theoretically and in a broad range of application fields.

Zusammenfassung: Fuzzy computation is a field that encompasses the theory and application of fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic to the solution of information processing and systems-analysis problems. Bolstered by information technology developments, the extraordinary growth of fuzzy computation in recent years has led to major applications in fields ranging from medical diagnosis and automated learning to image understanding and systems control. This conference intends to be a major forum for scientists, engineers and practitioners interested in the study, analysis, design, modeling and implementation of fuzzy systems, both theoretically and in a broad range of application fields.

Zusammenfassung: High quality research papers are solicited in all areas of bio-inspired computation. All accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings to be published by LNCS Series (Springer)

Zusammenfassung: The purpose of the 3rd International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence (ICAART) is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners interested in the theory and applications in these areas. Two simultaneous but strongly related tracks will be held, covering both applications and current research work within the area of Agents, Multi-Agent Systems and Software Platforms, Distributed Problem Solving and Distributed AI in general, including web applications, on one hand, and within the area of non-distributed AI, including the more traditional areas such as Knowledge Representation, Planning, Learning, Scheduling, Perception and also not so traditional areas such as Reactive AI Systems, Evolutionary Computing and other aspects of Computational Intelligence and many other areas related to intelligent systems, on the other hand.

Zusammenfassung: The International conference on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning , AIML-11 emphasizes on efficient Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and provides a central forum for scientists, researchers, engineers and vendors from different disciplines to exchange ideas, identify problems, investigate relevant issues, share common interests, explore new approaches, and initiate possible collaborative research and system development. The AIML-11 significantly benefits a wide variety of academic and industrial sectors.

Zusammenfassung: FLAIRS-24 continues a tradition of presenting and discussing state of the art artificial intelligence and related research in a convivial atmosphere within a beautiful setting. Events will include invited speakers, special tracks, discussion panels, and presentations of papers, posters, and awards. FLAIRS features some of the world’s leading researchers but submissions from students are also highly encouraged, with FLAIRS boasting a strong tradition of student papers.
