Résumé: The conference series aims to incorporate basic, translational and clinical aspects of stem cell research into a single framework. The mechanisms that generate and maintain mammalian embryonic and tissue-specific stem cell populations will be discussed, as will the application of this knowledge to regenerative medicine and cancer biology. In particular, the role of induced pluripotentcy and cancer stem cells will be highlighted. Non-mammalian model systems will be included as they provide strong forward genetics, and also opportunities for in vivo pharmacological screening. There are several unique features that set this review above the others. These include the use of an audience response system, which allows the attendee to gauge their knowledge base and become familiar with board-type questions while attending the symposium. Not surprisingly, depressive disorders are the most frequent psychiatric comorbidity in patients with epilepsy. The impact of depressive disorders is multidimensional, including an association with a worse response to pharmacologic and surgical treatment of the seizure disorder.

Which will have 10 chapters and about 150 sessions. On December 5-7, 2009, the 1st International Congress of Cardiology (ICC-2009) was held successfully in Shanghai, China. Nearly 200 experts take part in the opening ceremony. Dr. Xiaodan Mei, the Executive Chairman of this event delivered the opening remarks to welcome all our participants. And four keynote speakers of Dr. C. Richard Conti, professor from University of Florida, Dr. Daniel Loisance, professor from Henri Mondor Hospital, Dr. Dan J. Fintel, professor from Feinberg School of Medicine and Dr. John Shryock, senior director from Gilead Sciences shared their research and made splendid speeches. During the conference, nearly 150 speakers make their contribution to it.
