This year's conference will feature keynote addresses from Michael Grätzel and Louis Brus, as well as sixteen other distinguished speakers in sessions on Foundational Issues, Theory, Catalysis and Bioinspiration, and Directing Charge and Spin with Light. There will also be a roundtable discussion on policy and funding.

The goal of this event is to bring together not only those who are currently using Starbons® but also others who currently work with, or have an interest in carbonaceous materials, to provide opportunities for knowledge transfer, discussion and networking.

The 2012 GRC on Catalysis "From Fundamentals to Application" will as always focus on new developments in fundamentals of catalysis including the theoretical and spectroscopic understanding of catalytic surfaces, novel catalytic reactions and materials and featured invited talks from the world's leading experts in the fundamentals and applications of catalytic science and technology. In addition, 2012 Catalysis GRC will be specifically focus on application of these fundamentals to key problems in society energy, industry and the environment. The extended discussions in the company of outstanding thinkers will stimulate and foster new science. In 2012, the Catalysis conference will move into the newer conference facilities at Colby-Sawyer with a modern lecture hall and an improved poster session area. The dorm rooms provide single and double accommodations, free WiFi and the registration fee includes all meals and the famous lobster dinner on Thursday night. Afternoons are open to enjoy the New England ambiance with opportunities for hiking, sailing, golf and tennis to create an outstanding conference that will help you network with colleagues, and make long lasting connections.
