Twelfth International Young Researchers Workshop on Geometry, Mechanics, and Control
22 Jan 2018 - 24 Jan 2018 • Padova, Italy
The Twelfth International Young Researchers Workshop on Geometry, Mechanics, and Control is the last in a series of workshops organized by the GMC Network. Previous events took place in Madrid (2006, 2007), Barcelona (2008), Ghent (2009), La Laguna (2010), Coimbra (2012), Madrid (2012), Barcelona (2013), Zaragoza (2015), Paris (2016), and La Laguna (2017). Its goal is to bring together young researchers working in Geometry, Mechanics, and Control and to offer a platform to present the results of their research to an international audience. The core of the workshop consists on three mini-courses, each of four hours, which serve as an introduction to different topics related to geometric structures in mechanics and control theory. The courses will be at PhD/postdoctoral level. Along with the courses, there will be contributed short talks (thirty minutes) and a poster session.

Symp2018 — Recent advances in Hamiltonian dynamics and symplectic topology
12 Feb 2018 - 16 Feb 2018 • Padua, Italy
Recent advances in the study of Hamiltonian systems have been made possible thanks to a fruitful

interaction between diverse ideas and techniques coming from dynamical systems, nonlinear analysis, PDE theory and symplectic topology. This School-Workshop aims at outlining these interactions, and consist of four courses (6 hours each) lectured by well-known experts in the field. Contributed talks concerning the themes of the meeting are welcome. List of the invited speakers: M.C. Arnaud (Laboratoire de Mathématiques d'Avignon); G. Benedetti (Mathematisches Institut Universität Leipzig); A. Fathi (School of Mathematics - Georgia Institute of Technology); V. Humilière (Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu).

Hamiltonian dynamics, Symplectic geometry, Hamilton-Jacobi equation.

INdAM Workshop on Poisson Geometry and Higher Structures
10 Sep 2018 - 14 Sep 2018 • INdAM, Rome, Italy
The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers interested in Poisson and related geometries on one side, and higher structures on the other side, from Italy and from abroad, to improve further a well-established synergy. It will contribute to develop a coherent viewpoint of the many recent diverse developments in the field and to initiate new lines of research. The workshop is supported by INdAM.
