International Workshop on Topological Structures in Ferroic Materials
08 Aug 2017 - 10 Aug 2017 • University of Leeds, Leeds, United Kingdom
Current research interests regarding interfaces, domains, domain walls, vortices, spin currents and spin torque, spin textures and skyrmions in (multi)ferroics constitute an emerging field in solid state physics and materials science. Connecting these research fields with topological concepts in physics will contribute to the fundamental understanding and will merge these hot topics.

2017 Magnetic Frontiers: Topological Insulators
18 Sep 2017 - 21 Sep 2017 • Nancy, Lorraine, France
Magnetic Frontiers is the premier topical conference on emerging aspects of fundamental and applied magnetism. The forum provides a range of plenary and invited talks delivered by key researchers in the field as well as oral and poster presentations. As there will be a small number of participants (about 80 people), the conference provides a unique environment for researchers to communicate and discuss the latest developments in magnetism with the leading scientists. The first conference in the series is related to the emerging topic of Topological Insulators –unique electronic materials that additionally to a bulk band gap like in an ordinary insulator have protected conducting states on their edge or surface that are possible due to the combination of spin-orbit interactions and time-reversal symmetry.

MSM17 — 10th International Conference on Magnetic and Superconducting Materials
18 Sep 2017 - 21 Sep 2017 • Tehran, Iran
In recent years there have been various breakthroughs in the science and technology of superconducting and magnetic materials. Despite the vast achievements made after these discoveries, further advances are required in the basic understanding and application of these very important and applicable materials. A plan for the first event of the series of Magnetic and Superconducting Materials (MSM) biannual conferences started in 1997, and (MSM99) was first organized at Sharif University of Technology in September 1999. Nine successful MSM conferences have been held in different countries so far. These conferences aimed to bring together regional and international research groups and technologists of related companies to discuss new materials, their results and current problems in the areas of superconductivity, magnetism, novel materials and also in the general field of low temperature physics.

I have the great pleasure to announce that we are organizing the 10th International Conference on Magnetic and Superconducting Materials (MSM17) at Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran during 18-21 September 2017. This conference is intended to address the recent developments and improvements in the science and engineering of superconductivity and magnetism and their applications. The conference themes are designed to attract researchers and educators to share their recent findings and techniques in these fields.
