NEURAM 2018 — The 1st NEURAM International Neuro-Rehabilitation Conference on Spinal Cord Injury
16 May 2018 - 17 May 2018 • Mauritius, Mauritius
Abstract:
On behalf of the NEURAM Foundation, we would like to invite you to take part in NEURAM 2018 – the inaugural NEURAM International Neuro-Rehabilitation Conference on Spinal Cord Injury, a two-day conference held in Mauritius on 16 and 17 May 2018. NEURAM 2018’s focus is on Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) care. This is of relevance given the increasing number of severe injuries from road traffic accidents in Mauritius: each year, there are 500 cases of catastrophic injuries in a population of 1.2 million citizens. Given the calibre of speakers and attendees who have already confirmed their participation, this Conference offers a great opportunity to showcase SCI care today. The Conference aims to bring together delegates from Mauritius and around the world, to create a platform for personal and professional exchange. Our purpose is to improve the management of SCI care at all stages of the patient's journey. NEURAM 2018 is a conference dedicated to SCI clinicians and those with an interest in this area, including nurses, therapists, social workers, individuals with SCI, and their advocates.

04 Oct 2018 - 06 Oct 2018 • Melbourne, Australia
Abstract:
Founded in 2008 by a group of pioneering surgeons, ISHA through its annual meeting and dedicated funds for research, was the catalyst for the development of knowledge on non-arthritic hip pathologies and their arthroscopic treatment. ISHA has always pushed for the development of new technologies and practices for the best treatment of non-arthritic hip pathologies, as well as embracing open hip preservation surgery. The arthroscope and the development of imaging associated with anatomical, biomechanical and clinical research, made it possible to progress phenomenally rapidly in the discovery and management of unknown hip and periarticular pathologies.
