10th SSHO 2019 — Swiss Summit on Hemato-Oncology

Abstract:
This year the SSHO is hosting a panel of internationally and nationally renowned experts who will give state-of-the-art scientific lectures and discuss practice-oriented clinical cases in the fields of Hodgkin lymphoma, chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and aggressive lymphomas. The recent advances in CAR T-cell therapies and liquid biopsies are also featured. There will be numerous opportunities to interact directly with the panel in the main center at the Inselspital Bern or at the various satellite centers via videoconference, allowing to gain a broader understanding of the topics under discussion.

Chicago Lymphoma Symposium — 16th Annual International Ultmann Chicago Lymphoma Symposium

Abstract:
The International Ultmann Chicago Lymphoma Symposium (IUCLS) is an annual conference dedicated solely to the science and clinical care of lymphoma. It has been organized to honor the achievements of Dr. John Ultmann, a pioneer in the treatment of lymphoma, who devoted his life to the understanding of this disease. The audience is comprised of regional practicing oncologists, advanced nurse practitioners and physician assistants, residents, fellows, and the Chicago academic community that includes five academic centers. This is a certified continuing medical education (CME) activity that focuses on the biologic, diagnostic, and therapeutic aspects of Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The format of the meeting includes a combination of expert presentations, interactive case discussions, poster/abstract presentations, and an opportunity for question-and-answer debates.

HICC 2019 — Haemostasis in Critical Care – 7. Interdisziplinärer Hämostaseologischer Intensivworkshop für OP und Intensivstation

Abstract:
Die perioperative Gerinnung wird in der Praxis zum einen durch erworbene Störungen der Gerinnung bei z. B. Massentranfusion, Polytrauma und peripartaler Blutung, zum anderen durch eine Vielzahl angeborener hämostaseologischer Krankheitsbilder, wie z. B. das von-Willebrand-Syndrom, kompliziert. Zusätzlich erschweren zivilisationsbedingte Krankheitsbilder (koronare Herzkrankheit, Vorhofflimmern, Schlaganfall, periphere arterielle Verschlusskrankheit, venöse Thrombembolie, etc.) und deren Behandlung mit z. B. Thrombozytenaggregationshemmern, Vitamin-K-Antagonisten oder neuen oralen Antikoagulanzien die sichere Steuerung der Patienten durch das Risiko von Blutung und Thrombose im OP und auf der Intensivstation.

Daher ist das Ziel dieses Intensivworkshops, ein profundes Wissen über Diagnostik und Therapie perioperativer Gerinnungsstörungen zu vermitteln, die Besonderheiten von Patienten unter Antikoagulanzientherapie im Operationssaal und auf der Intensivstation und effektive und sichere Behandlungsstrategien gemeinsam (und in Kleingruppen zu erarbeiten. Hierbei werden auch die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen von Gerinnungsanalytik und Point-of-Care-Gerinnungsdiagnostik theoretisch und praktisch vorgestellt.

Unter der Schirmherrschaft der Gesellschaft für Thrombose- und Hämostaseforschung (GTH) und der Deutschen Akademie für anästhesiologische Fortbildung (DAAF) der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Anästhesiologie und Intensivmedizin (DGAI) und des Bundes Deutscher Anästhesisten (BDA) möchten wir im Rahmen dieses bislang einzigartigen Intensivworkshops (interdisziplinären Vorlesungen, interaktiven Fallsitzungen und „Hands on“-Kursen) alle wichtigen Aspekte der perioperativen Hämostase mit Ihnen gemeinsam erarbeiten.

Abstract:
The 8th Conference of IAOC "Current Status and Future of Anti-Cancer Therapies" will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina in October 17th and 18th, 2019. An outstanding faculty of speakers from the United States and Europe has committed in this meeting. The conference agenda will focus on new translational advances in the treatment of cancer as well as provide updates of conventional therapies for a number of the most common tumor types. The meeting objectives are designed to introduce the audience to the latest information on targeted therapies, immunotherapies and emerging treatments in early development. The major emphasis will be on clinical aspects of cancer treatment in the 21st century with discussion of significant scientific advances underlying the novel approaches still in preclinical development.
