2nd Stem Cell - Niche Interactions in the Gastrointestinal Tract Conference
07 May 2024 - 10 May 2024 • Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Organizer:
Fusion Conferences
Abstract:
The past ten years have seen an explosion of information regarding stem cells (SCs) within the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, due to an improved ability to identify SCs, follow their fates, and manipulate them in vitro. The next frontier in the field of GI stem cell biology is understanding the role that dysregulated ISC behavior plays in the etiology of numerous diseases, and conversely, the impact of GI diseases on proper SC function. This meeting will bring together a diverse group of investigators to discuss topics such as how the environment of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine and colon impacts SC behavior in healthy and diseased states, how SC behaviour and the niche differ along the proximal-distal axis of the GI tract, and the strengths of various models for investigating the relationship between gastrointestinal SCs, the niche, and the onset and propagation of disease states.

From Stem Cells to Human Development
16 Sep 2024 - 19 Sep 2024 • Wotton House, United Kingdom
Organizer:
The Company of Biologists Ltd
Abstract:
2024 marks ten years since the first of Development’s meetings on this topic. The past decade has seen tremendous advances in our ability to analyse and understand human development – from the advent of single cell sequencing technologies to the explosion of organoid culture systems and the development of integrated models of human embryogenesis. From Stem Cells to Human Development has become the premier forum for presenting, learning about and discussing the latest advances, and remaining challenges in the field. We hope this meeting will bring together researchers working on a diverse set of questions – from early cell fate choices in the human embryo to organ patterning and morphogenesis, from tissue engineering to ‘omics technologies. We are excited to see the continuing progress in this field, and to nurture this growing community.

The 9th Congress on Controversies in Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapies (COSTEM)
24 Oct 2024 - 27 Oct 2024 • Berlin, Germany
Organizer:
CME Congresses
Abstract:
The COSTEM Congress is a platform for our community to interact with each other and to share our scientific research, clinical experience, and on-going developments in our field. COSTEM encourages active participation in debate discussions and challenges global experts to promote their positions on a wide range of burning issues – providing clinicians the opportunity to share, express and compare experiences in order to establish and advance effective and reliable patient treatments. COSTEM 2024 will continue to push the envelope and be a progressive, compelling and informative congress, where the most compelling and controversial topics facing clinicians in our field are presented in a fascinating and exciting debate forum.
