ACHA 2017 — ASEAN Conference on Healthy Ageing 2017

Global experts on Ageing will meet in Kuching, Sarawak from 10th-12th October this year for the 1st ASEAN Conference on Healthy Ageing (ACHA) themed Ageing - Challenges, Successes and The Journey Ahead. The conference, organised by the Malaysian Healthy Ageing Society (MHAS) in collaboration with the Sarawak Convention Bureau, will see international experts on ageing issues and stakeholders come together to discuss the challenges of ageing in the region as well as share experience and models that have been successful in managing rapidly ageing populations. Michael W. Hodin (CEO, Global Coalition on Ageing, USA), Professor Tri Budi W. Rahardjo (Professor in Gerontology, Universitas, Indonesia), Emeritus Professor Takeo Ogawa (Emeritus Professor, Kyushu University and Yamaguchi University, Japan), Marilyn Pattison (President, World Federation of Occupational Therapists), Professor Phyo Myint (Chair in Old Age Medicine at University of Aberdeen) and Dr. Vaikunthan Rajaratnam (Senior Consultant, Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery, Singapore) are among the speakers at the 3-day conference.
