American College of Perioperative Medicine
Abstract:
Our 5th Annual Interdisciplinary Conference on Orthopedic Value-Based Care is taking place virtually on April 9th – 11th, 2021. The overall goal of this transformative conference is to apply the triple aim principles to orthopedic patients undergoing surgery. We aim to achieve this goal by breaking the “silos” and bringing together and educating all the stakeholders that are involved in the journey of an orthopedic patient. This unique conference includes clinical, operational and financial care redesign. The conference builds on the success of the 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 conferences, which sold out and included physicians, nurses, healthcare executives, patients and other providers such as physical therapists. A significant part of the program will be devoted to the transition to ASC and outpatient based orthopedic surgery. Our speakers are rock stars from the top orthopedic organizations in the country such as HSS, Rothman, NYU, Columbia, UCSF, OrthoCarolina, and many more! The 2021 program will have a US Guided Regional Anesthesia Workshop, 3 complimentary tracks to cover everyone in your team (clinical and non-clinical), and over 30 amazing international speakers!

Abstract:
Our Enhanced Recovery after Surgery – Perioperative Surgical Home Boot Camp is taking place virtually on April 10th – 11th, 2021! For the past few years, one reoccurring question we are continually asked is “how do you actually start such a model in my hospital”? There are other excellent conferences on the topics of PSH and ERAS; however, none are directly devoted to the nuts and bolts of creating and maintaining these clinical models. In response to this urgent need, we are launching a series of Boot Camps that are singularly devoted to addressing the establishment of these models.
