QSAR 2016 — 17th International Conference on QSAR in Environmental and Health Sciences
ID
726789
Dates
13 Jun 2016 - 17 Jun 2016
Location
Miami Beach, Florida, United States
Abstract
Ever since the meeting was established in 1983, the Conference has been an important international gathering in the field of Environmental and Health Sciences, bringing together scientists developing and using (Q)SARs. Over this same timeline, the field has evolved to where decision within regulatory agencies and industry are routinely based on (Q)SAR results. 2016 represents an important milestone for the field, as (Q)SAR models are now a regulatory accepted test for pharmaceutical impurities.

IAEAC — International Association of Environmental Analytical Chemistry
ID

Dates
19 Jul 2016 - 22 Jul 2016
Location
Hamburg, Germany
Abstract
The central subject of the ISEAC‐39 conference that will take place at the University of Hamburg, from July 19th – 22nd 2016 is the innovative use of analytical methods for the investigation of environmentally and food relevant questions. The program of ISEAC‐39 will consist of invited lectures, oral contributions and poster sessions. Session topics will be either method‐ or problem‐oriented. In particular, we welcome contributions that span the full range of the ISEAC scope: The Environmental Part of the conference covers the three elements Air, Water & Soil including anthropogenic chemicals (agricultural and industrial origin, hormonal active and drug residues, human waste water), exhaust gases (indoor/outdoor emissions), fine dust and radioactivity, remediation monitoring and long term transport and distribution regimes. The Food Part mainly deals with innovative and challenging strategies to maintain Food Safety & Food Fraud (authenticity). Methods for trace analysis of residues, chemical or microbial contaminants and new approaches to tackle nano and packaging materials are highly welcome. It is a pleasure to look forward to many scientists active in the field of environmental and food analysis, to food manufactures, to the leading companies involved in the development of analytical instrumentation as well as to young researchers eager to enter this challenging field of research meeting in Hamburg.

Reaction rate theory
ID
781600
Dates
19 Sep 2016 - 21 Sep 2016
Location
Cambridge, United Kingdom
Abstract
Reaction rate theory has developed rapidly in recent years and is being used to interpret and simulate an ever growing range of challenging rate-processes in chemistry, physics and biology. New theories and methodologies have been developed to treat processes including coupled proton and electron transfer, enzyme catalysis, nucleation and transport through cell membranes. Underlying these disparate areas of rate-theory are a common language, techniques and methodology. This meeting seeks to bring together leading scientists from the various fields that use rate theory, to exchange this new knowledge.
Topics
Fundamentals, Non-adiabatic reactions, New methods for rare event sampling, Large systems

Infometrix General Chemometrics Training Course
ID
773454
Dates
05 Oct 2016 - 07 Oct 2016
Location
Bothell, United States
Abstract
A 3-day general course specializes in hands on training, covering topics such as data collection for multivariate analysis, model optimization and model building, classification, regression and data exploration techniques whereas the advanced course goes into more in-depth topics for specific and real-world applications. Methods and tools for on-line, process, routine and automated chemometrics are also introduced to the attendee. Hands on experience and demonstrations are provided for our Pirouette and InStep™ software packages. Students are encouraged to send in their own data for class display and discussion and for overall enhancement to the course. Students are asked to send in the data prior to the course so that data can be analyzed and prepped for use in class. Materials that are included in the course belong to the students at the completion of the course.
