Examining new technologies and market opportunities for the masterbatch industry

The main aim of POLY-CHAR conferences for nearly 30 years has been to bring together both academia and industry at all levels. This includes researchers involved in experiment, theory and computer simulations to achieve a systemic understanding of the connections between the structures, properties and applications of all types of polymers. This has and continues to be an underlying theme of this conference series.

“Polymers 2024” is an international conference covering the latest progress and innovations in the fields of polymers for the production of new materials and additives for a safe and sustainable world. The conference aims to explore the latest findings in the scientific field of polymers, with a particular emphasis on the synthesis of safe polymers with unique properties for human health and environmental sustainability. Additionally, the goal is to focus on green polymer chemistry and industrial approaches using bioresources to synthesize biobased and biodegradable polymers, in addition to exploring safe and sustainable-by-design polymers using modeling, theory, and simulation and simultaneously investigating their chemical and physical properties for different applications. Clean, green, and efficient production processes will be presented, while life cycle assessments, exposure, risk assessment, decontamination, and environmental remediation will also be discussed. The conference also aims to propose novel techniques for polymer recycling and reuse. Such an event is a unique opportunity for polymer scientists from around the world to present their works, findings, and innovations in polymer chemistry and technology with regard to sustainable development and with great respect to human life and the environment.

The ISNA conference series offers a prestigious international forum to present and discuss new findings and exchange ideas on advanced synthesis, structure-property relationship, and applications of novel aromatic compounds. It was established in 1970 as the International Symposium on Nonbenzenoid Aromatic Compounds. Now the aim of the conference is to further elucidate fundamental principles of synthesis and properties of novel aromatic and other interesting pi-conjugated systems, to discuss recent experimental and theoretical insights into the concept of aromaticity, and to explore modern applications of such systems as advanced materials, as tailor-made functional molecules in supramolecular chemistry, optoelectronics, and biology.

Since its inception in 1972, the ICPOC conferences have been the leading international gatherings on physical organic chemistry and its applications. Traditionally, physical organic chemistry relates molecular structure to chemical behavior, by means of the study of structure, reactivity, mechanism, and equilibrium in organic systems, aiming at the quantitative, molecular level understanding of their properties. While it is still the primary role of this core discipline, nowadays, physical organic chemistry has already evolved into a multidisciplinary field, extending into materials, energy, biology sciences and so on. This comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach plays a pivotal role in the development of chemical sciences, expanding their boundaries, and reflects on the vibrant and enlightening scientific discussions usually held in ICPOC meetings.
