The course comprises a mixture of lectures and practical sessions, where opportunity will be given for constructing Code models for specified problems, checking the input specifications and performing full.

abstract: Hard and electromagnetic probes play a key role in the study of the strongly interacting matter created in high energy heavy-ion collisions. Recent new measurements and theoretical developments have resulted in significant progress and incisive understanding of the properties of hot QCD matter. Hard probes will play a central role in upcoming RHIC runs as well as in the LHC heavy-ion program that is now getting under way.

The biannual "Hard Probes" series is among the leading conferences in the field of high-energy heavy-ion physics, providing a forum for in-depth discussion of hard and electromagnetic probes and related topics in a moderate-sized meeting.

The Medical Imaging Conference (MIC) is the foremost international scientific meeting on the physics, engineering and mathematical aspects of nuclear medicine based imaging. As the field develops, multi-modality approaches are becoming more and more important. The content of the MIC reflects this, with a growing emphasis on the methodologies of X-ray, optical and MR imaging as they relate to nuclear imaging techniques. In addition, specialized topics will be addressed in the Short Courses and Workshops programs.

The Workshop on Room-Temperature Semiconductor Detectors (RTSD) represents the largest forum of scientists and engineers developing new semiconductor radiation detectors and imaging arrays. Room-temperature solid-state radiation detectors for X-ray, gamma-ray, and neutron radiation are finding increasing applications in such diverse fields as medicine, homeland security, astrophysics and environmental remediation. The objective of this workshop is to provide a forum for discussion of the state of the art of material development for semiconductor, scintillator, and organic materials for detection, materials characterization, device fabrication and technology, electronics and applications.

abstract: We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a large international conference on nuclear physics at the University of Manchester in Aug 2011 to celebrate the centenary of the publication of Rutherford’s paper describing the discovery of the atomic nucleus. The conference will mark one hundred years of the atomic nucleus by addressing the wide range of current topics characterising modern nuclear physics, including nuclear structure and astrophysics, hadron structure and spectroscopy, weak interactions and relativistic heavy-ion collisions.

abstract: Following the decision of the EPS Nuclear Physics Board, the Second European Nuclear Physics Conference (EuNPC2012) will be held in Bucharest, Romania, between September 17-21, 2012. The local organizers of the Conference will be "Horia Hulubei" Institute of Physics and Nuclear Engineering and the Romanian Physical Society. Continuing the tradition of the First European Nuclear Physics Conference (Bochum, 2009), the 2012 edition will be a blend of plenary talks given by outstanding personalities in the field of Nuclear Physics and contributions of young researchers and students. We expect significant developments of our field in the next years, so that our wish is to make of the Second European Nuclear Physics Conference a unique opportunity to review the progress made and to look as far as possible into our future.
