With that general theme in mind, the ICSM2008 will provide a platform, where solid state physicists, chemists and material scientists would exchange knowledge on the latest experimental and theoretical results at the wonderful atmosphere of the conference and its venue.

abstract: Transfer of Knowledge Workshop in Krakow, Poland, should help in fundamental understanding of the phenomena of spin momentum transfer effects. The latest investigations in the field of spin current induced magnetoeffects with emphasis on high frequency and ultrafast switching aspects should contrive to develop the novel model structures of technical devices for applications such as MRAMs, magnetic sensors, magnetic logic and other high frequency devices. This Workshop should help both the scholars and users transfer the knowledge between the research centers, researchers - especially from the New Member States and Associated Countries - and industrial companies, and support investments in MRAMs, Advanced Logic, Sensors and Spintronics and to disseminate the results of their scientific work.
