Conferences and Meetings on Applied Physics: Magnetism and Magnetic Materials offers, as part of our business activities, a directory of upcoming scientific and technical meetings. The calendar is published for the convenience of conference participants and we strive to support conference organisers who need to publish their upcoming events. Although great care is being taken to ensure the correctness of all entries, we cannot accept any liability that may arise from the presence, absence or incorrectness of any particular information on this website. Always check with the meeting organiser before making arrangements to participate in an event!

Meeting organisers can submit meetings free of charge for inclusion into the listing.

1.Magnetism 2016
 Dates 04 Apr 2016 → 05 Apr 2016
[ID=733341] Go to top of page
 LocationCutlers Hall, Sheffield, United Kingdom
Abstract Magnetism 2016 is a conference primarily for the UK and RoI magnetism community. This follows the recent highly successful conferences in 2014 and 2015. A mixture of invited talks and submitted contributions will allow the breadth of magnetism research in the UK and RoI to be presented. Participation from outside UK/RoI and from industry is also encouraged.
2.SCTE2016 — XXth International Conference on Solid Compounds of Transition Elements
 Dates 11 Apr 2016 → 15 Apr 2016
[ID=747044] Go to top of page
 LocationZaragoza, Spain
Abstract SCTE is intended to provide a forum for discussion on fundamental and applied research in the areas of solid state chemistry, physics and material science of compounds containing d- and f- elements, and as an informal platform to exchange ideas and promote new collaborations. The SCTE conference aims to asses the latest progress in these fields in several invited talks by experts, to foster presentations of on-going research projects by young researchers and PhD students.
Topics Topics Processes and syntheses, crystal chemistry Phase transitions, equilibria, and Thermodynamics Magnetic, electrical and optical properties Theory, “ab initio” methods, electronic structure Physical and chemical properties at the nanometric scale: nanoparticles, films, interfaces Neutron Synchrotron radiation research on SCTE and Materials: Intermetallic compounds SCES, and Topological Quantum Matter Multiferroics and Multifunctional materials Magnetocalorics and Materials for energy storage Molecular solids: molecular magnetism, MOFs, spin crossover Novel superconducting materials Disordered and frutrated materials

3.WMM16 — 7th International Conference Magnetism and Metallurgy
 Dates 13 Jun 2016 → 15 Jun 2016
[ID=718494] Go to top of page
 LocationRome, Italy
Abstract The conference brings together for three days the main Industrial producers of Electrical Steels in the world, producers of Permanent Magnets, many users of magnetic materials, many rotating electrical machines and electrical transformers, Industrial plant builders, research centers in the field of metallurgy and magnetism, measurement instruments manufacturers,..etc. , in other words all the main stakeholders in the field of magnetic materials and electrical machines. We plan to have about 50 Lectures and Posters presentation which will be contained in the Book of Proceeding of the conference.

We will receive the written contributions (papers) before the beginning of conference in order to distribute the Proceedings to the participants directly at the conference desk.

Topics magnetism, metallurgy, magnets, electricity, transformers, electrical motors
