Résumé: The UK Institute of Physics Nuclear Physics Conference will take place in Edinburgh 19 - 21 April 2010. The Conference will feature plenary and parallel oral contributions as well as a poster session.

Résumé: Our main activity is supplying high quality software and consultancy services for customers world-wide in the areas of reactor physics, radiation shielding, dosimetry, nuclear criticality, well logging and nuclear data.

These courses are aimed at providing the new or inexperienced user of the MONK Code with a broad understanding of the capabilities of the Code and hands-on experience of constructing input specifications. The course comprises a mixture of lectures and practical sessions, where opportunity will be given for constructing Code models for specified problems, checking the input specifications and performing full.

Résumé: Hard and electromagnetic probes play a key role in the study of the strongly interacting matter created in high energy heavy-ion collisions. Recent new measurements and theoretical developments have resulted in significant progress and incisive understanding of the properties of hot QCD matter. Hard probes will play a central role in upcoming RHIC runs as well as in the LHC heavy-ion program that is now getting under way.

The biannual "Hard Probes" series is among the leading conferences in the field of high-energy heavy-ion physics, providing a forum for in-depth discussion of hard and electromagnetic probes and related topics in a moderate-sized meeting.

Résumé: The current WIMS9A Code is the latest generation of this internationally known code and as such combines all the reactor physics methods (both deterministic and Monte Carlo). This course is aimed at providing the new or inexperienced user of the Code with a broad understanding of the capabilities of the Code and hands-on experience of constructing input specifications.

Résumé: We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a large international conference on nuclear physics at the University of Manchester in Aug 2011 to celebrate the centenary of the publication of Rutherford’s paper describing the discovery of the atomic nucleus. The conference will mark one hundred years of the atomic nucleus by addressing the wide range of current topics characterising modern nuclear physics, including nuclear structure and astrophysics, hadron structure and spectroscopy, weak interactions and relativistic heavy-ion collisions.
