Résumé	Die Rotordynamik gehört zu den wichtigsten Disziplinen im Entwicklungsprozess von Maschinen mit rotierenden Bauteilen wie z. B. Turbinen, Verdichtern, Generatoren, Pumpen, Lüftern, Triebwerken, Windkraftanlagen und Motoren. Der erfolgreiche Betrieb einer leistungsfähigen Maschine steht und fällt mit der rotordynamischen Auslegung. Für die Analyse von Schwingungsproblemen oder von Rotor- und Strukturschäden sind Kenntnisse in der Rotordynamik ebenfalls unersetzlich.

Résumé	Die Teilnehmer lernen Verfahren speziell für die Diagnose von Elektromotoren kennen, mit deren Hilfe Schädigungen an Rotorstäben und Wicklungen diagnostiziert werden können. Ebenso werden Möglichkeiten der detaillierten Diagnose von Verzahnungen in Getrieben erläutert. Einen weiteren Schwerpunkt bildet die Strukturuntersuchung von Antriebssträngen. Ziel ist es hierbei, die Ursachen häufig wiederkehrender Maschinenausfälle zu finden. An zahlreichen Praxisbeispielen werden vertiefende Techniken zur Bestimmung des Zustands erklärt und die notwendigen schwingungs- und maschinenbautechnischen Zusammenhänge nachvollziehbar dargestellt.

Besonderes Gewicht wird dabei gelegt auf die Grundtatsachen der Wahrnehmung von Schall und der quantifizierenden Beschreibung durch Schallpegel, auf die Betrachtung der physikalischen Größen der Schallfelder, ihrer Zusammenhänge und den wichtigsten Begriffen (z.B. Wellenlänge, Schallschnelle, Schallleistung,...) und auf die Schilderung der beiden praktisch interessierenden Umgebung der Ausbreitung im Freien und in Innenräumen.

Résumé	Conference Waves in Science and Engineering 2013 will be held November 4-8. It is intended to bring together experts from different fields of the general area of classical wave theory and applications including acoustic, electromagnetic, and elastic wave propagation.
