abstract: Presented by the CSIRO Centre for Distributed Energy and Power (CenDEP) and the World Alliance for Decentralized Energy (WADE) .

The conference brings together leading experts from around the world to discuss the economic and environmental opportunities for decentralised energy, highlighting leading edge technological advances and policy issues related to electricity generation and delivery.

The conference convenes over one and a half days. The first day is dedicated to advances in decentralised energy technology, with a special focus on solutions to sustainability. The second day is exclusively given over to issues of energy policy, programs and markets.

The conference concludes with an optional half day excursion to the CSIRO Energy Centre in Newcastle, a state-of-the-art facility featuring award winning, innovative energy efficient building design, showcasing many examples of distributed generation and energy management built in. It is also the national headquarters of CSIRO Division of Energy Technology and the Energy Transformed National Research Flagship and home to the National Solar Energy Centre.
