The 9th International Temperature Symposium (ITS9), together with a technology exhibition, will be held in March of 2012, in conjunction with the Measurement Science Conference 2012.

3.Computational Challenges in Warm Dense Matter

Résumé	In this workshop, we will explore established and promising approaches to the modeling of WDM, foundational issues concerning the correct theoretical description of WDM, and the challenging practical issues of numerically modeling strongly coupled systems with many degrees of freedom. The list of computational frameworks and methods to be discussed includes: Finite-temperature density functional theory, including orbital-free methods; quantum Monte Carlo, including path integral Monte Carlo; wave-packet molecular dynamics; and classical and semi-classical molecular dynamics.
