Sample Prep Summer Course — Sample Preparation Summer Course, 3-6 July 2017, Chania, Crete, Greece
03 Jul 2017 - 06 Jul 2017 • Chania-Crete, Greece
Abstract:
This 4-day theoretical/practical event is presented by top experts and covers all aspects of traditional and modern sample preparation methods with a special focus on solid and liquid phase (microextraction). Course lectures will be followed by hands-on experiments and a complete method development strategy will be illustrated by real-life examples. At every stage, the sample type and characteristics will be taken into consideration next to the green and cost-related aspects of sample preparation methods. Advanced experiments can also be arranged for more experienced users.

YRSC — Young Researchers in Sciences Conference
14 Aug 2017 - 19 Aug 2017 • Cluj-Napoca, Romania
Abstract:
Young Researchers in Sciences Conference (YRSC) is an international conference that brings an innovative touch in contrast to the traditional science gatherings. We are proud to present a step forward for the 4th edition of Young Researchers in Bio-Sciences international symposium, by adding two branches: Young Researchers in Chemical-Sciences and Young Researchers in Physics-Sciences, and bringing them all under one main event: Young Researchers in Sciences. The three symposiums will take place at the same time, in the same building, but in different auditoriums/halls. With the aim of supporting the broad specter of thinkers, we have a plenary session and a poster session.

Summer School 2017 Electronic Structure and Spectroscopy of Transition Metal Complexes
03 Sep 2017 - 09 Sep 2017 • Gelsenkirchen, Germany
Abstract:
Modern research in transition metal chemistry relies extensively on the use of high-level electronic structure theory and advanced spectroscopic methods. The ability to leverage the combination of molecular theory and spectroscopy is essential for driving cutting-edge research in all fields of transition metal science, ranging from inorganic chemistry to biochemistry and from catalysis to energy research. The goal of this summer school is to provide young scientists with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills to incorporate this powerful combination in their own research.

Autumn School Chemical Biology
25 Sep 2017 - 29 Sep 2017 • Konstanz, Germany
Abstract:
The overall aim of the Autumn School is to get together graduate students from all over the world working in the area of Chemical Biology, and to foster the exchange of their scientific work, thereby establishing personal contacts and scientific networking. The programme comprises consecutive lecture courses followed by an international conference. In the courses, experts in the respective fields will introduce fundamental methods and techniques within the field of Chemical Biology. Subsequently, the participants join the IUPACs ‘International Symposium on Bioorganic Chemistry (ISBOC-11)' (held in combination with the Konstanz Symposium Chemical Biology) with internationally renowned speakers. Poster sessions and social events will complete this event. Travel funds are available.
