Abstract	AOP-2012 intends to bring together chemists, physicists, biologists, environmental scientists and engineers to display their latest findings and to discuss potential avenues in both chemical and biological oxidative decomposition pathways of organic and inorganic contaminants. It also aims to coordinate discussions on both efficiency of various AOPs in the degradation of pollutants and the fundamental understanding of degradation mechanism. Chemical, photochemical, radiation chemical, sonochemical and biological oxidation mechanisms and the related technologies will be discussed.
