Zusammenfassung	Indirect detection of dark matter through galactic cosmic-rays and photon emission has received renewed attention in the wake of observations like a positron excess and tentative gamma-ray lines. This workshop will bring together researchers interested in refining the physics and astrophysics of dark matter annihilation in dark halos. Among the issues: systematics of particle theories, calculational methods, connection to direct and other searches, cosmic ray propagation models, and small scale structure of dark halos.

Zusammenfassung	Several new and existing physics experiments/facilities involve physics processes in ultra-intense electromagnetic fields. It is of critical importance to consider interactions with such strong fields as precisely as possible in order to provide additional tests of our theoretical models and to stimulate the development of new experimental technologies. The purpose of this workshop is to review the state of the art in strong field physics. Theoretical calculations, experimental tests and simulation of physics in high intensity fields will all be examined.

7.MITP Scientific Program Low-energy precision physics

Zusammenfassung	The scientific program will be focussed on the theory of low-energy precision physics relevant to the MESA and TRIGA initiatives. Topics include searches for TeV-scale physics beyond the Standard Model via ultra-precise measurements of parity-violating electron scattering asymmetries, determinations of neutron decay parameters via precision measurements of its lifetime and decay asymmetries, and searches for EDMs of nucleons, nuclei and atoms. The necessary high-precision theoretical tools to analyse these experiments, which include advanced calculations of radiative corrections, will be explored and developed.The scientific program may be attended by up to 30 scientists at any given time, who are expected to spend at least two weeks at MITP. Participants can receive significant financial support.
