abstract: The aim of this Summer School is to provide graduate students, post docs, and last year undergraduates with exceptional marks and motivation for physics, of a general introductory overview of some of the most exciting topical developments on Condensed Matter and Nanoscopic Physics. The Summer School will consist on a series of introductory lectures given by internationally recognized leading experts.

abstract: The nanorevolution is just around the corner. Research and discovery in nanoscience are exploding and numerous key enabling technologies will soon lead to far-reaching changes in our lives. In fact, nanotech is already weaving yesterday's dreams into today’s reality with great advances in fields as diverse as telecommunications, computing, medicine, energy, and textiles. We need to understand the transformations that nanotech will bring about, the science behind it, and how we can seize its benefits and limit its risks. This conference series brings together renowned scientists, engineers and industry leaders to engage in a multidisciplinary dialogue about nanoscience.
